Ultra-X is a high performance, non-asbestos, compression packing that is engineered specifically for the marine industry. Its excellent lubricity and high thermal conductivity keeps shafts running cool at all speeds. Unlike flax and other packing materials, once Ultra-X is installed you never need to worry about it again, virtually eliminating maintenance. Stays pliable-will not harden or become brittle Easy to install and remove for repacking Grease-free installation - east to cut, and conforms easily High tensile strength - not consumed in use Self-lubricating - virtually needs no water to lubricate Virtually eliminates maintenance, shaft scoring and replacement

Great stuff - the only packing I've ever used that set right the first time. Temps were right in the correct range, did one small adjustment and it's perfect. Wish I'd gone to this years ago.
