Todd Smith Go2marine/LFS Technical Support

My name is Todd Smith. I have been in the marine industry for over 20 years. I started bottom painting when I was around 12 years old at my family marina, and went from there to fork truck operation, travel lift operator, to a technician. Also, in marina maintenance such as dock construction, shoreline restoration, and diving. Then I went to work for a large corporation repowering and overseeing refits on commercial vessels such as container and cruise ships all over the world. I then started my own marine business consisting of dock maintenance, diving, and complete boat repair inside and out. I hold a long list of certifications in many different areas of the marine industry including, diesel and gas engines, along with generators, underwater gear, HVAC, plumbing, NEMA 2000 systems, and technical diagnostics. My main area of expertise is electrical both AC & DC systems.

I am starting this new addition to our website to help our customers become more educated on our products and some pointers on choosing the right part for the repair or refit of their boat. This section will contain how to articles and videos for many of the common issues on boats from troubleshooting to the actual repair.
